Intrinsically Safe Gas-Sentry Monitors for combustible gas and oxygen with optional sensors for carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide are used for locating the source of leaking natural and combustible gas and testing and monitoring the safety of ambient air in confined and enclosed spaces. The CGA-501 four-gas monitor is designed to operate continuously for 40 hours on a set of four AA batteries.

The CGO-321 and CGA-401 detectors, unlike the CGA-501 continuous monitor, are designed for intermittent duty and will operate 12 to 24 hours on a set of AA batteries.
